Simeon coach Robert Smith and Morgan Park coach Nick Irvin each have been suspended for four games by Chicago Public Schools officials as a result of their conduct at a Jan. 16 basketball game, CPS said in a statement Wednesday. CPS chief executive officer Barbara Byrd-Bennett said in a statement that the coaches violated the CPS code of conduct with their words and actions at the game. After a 53-51 Simeon victory over Morgan Park, a fight broke out between the teams in th <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> e handshake line at Chicago State. It was quickly cleared up, but coaches from the teams continued to yell at each other after the teams were sent to their locker rooms. Outside of the gymnasium after the game, a 17-year-old Morgan Park student was shot to death. "Coaches in Chicago Public Schools must serve as mentors, instructors and role models for our students both on and off the court or field of competition, Byrd-Bennett said in the statement. The children under their charge take their <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> cues from them on what is acceptable behavior and what is not. Knowing this, coaches must at all times conduct themselves in a professional and sportsmanlike manner. Somebody’s got to build the world’s fastest convertible, and it might as well be Bentley.The Crewe, England-based company claims to have boosted the 2014 Continental GT Speed’s fuel economy 15% as well as raising its maximum constant to a whopping 202 m.p.h.Unveiled this afternoon at the North American International Auto Show, it goes on sale in the spring,The exotic luxury convertible “offers unrivaled luxury, performance and everyday usability,” said Bentley CEO Wolfgang Schreiber.The all-wheel-drive convertible’s 6.0L twin-turbo 616-horsepower 12-cylinder engine is linked to a new eight-speed automatic transmission. It accelerates to 60 m.p.h. in 4.1 seconds and 100 m.p.h. in a blinding 9.7 seconds. The EPA rates the car at 12 m.p.g. in the city, 20 on the highway and 15 combined.The GT Speed convertible sports a dark-tinted grille, 21-inch alloy wheels, and big elliptical exhaust pipes with a rifled interior. The price? $235,000, according to Schreiber, who called it “a dream on wheels.”He reported that the United States is Bentley’s No. 1 market, with sales jumping 23% from last year with the sale of 2,315 vehicles.
